A transparent workshop

Draw with the workshop tools

The workshop applies the same local rule set to the same marks every time.

Select edits marks; Pen draws freehand; Seal draws one boundary; Double ring adds nested rings; Direction line adds a ray; Glyph stamps the armed symbol; Spiral adds circulation; Scraper removes a mark.

Read explains the current circle; Activate runs it; Undo/redo restore edits; Clear empties the parchment; Archive PNG exports it; Save as example stores a guide. Practice and Photo open their separate workflows. Force, thickness, zoom, closed-seal, automatic activation, and diameter controls adjust the workshop.

Open Sigils and signs, then drag a symbol like a Scratch block onto a valid dotted preview on the parchment. A click can also stamp the armed Glyph.

Place, select, and reshape

In Select, drag with the left button to pan the parchment; a single left click selects one mark. Hold the right button and drag an empty area to draw a rectangle; releasing selects every mark already touching that rectangle. Delete removes the selection, while copy, paste, duplicate, and rotate preserve edit history.

Use minus or plus for a selected symbol, or drag a corner handle to resize one mark or the whole rectangular selection proportionally.

How a circle is read

A complete Seal or closed ring is the energy boundary required for activation. Marks outside the largest usable boundary, or disconnected from it, are ignored; a closed ring without a sigil releases only raw energy.

Central sigils define the material or manifestation. Recognized mixtures are composed deterministically; without a material sigil, signs can only modify the ring's raw energy.

Compatible elements and signs are synthesized into one physical result. Water and Earth can become mud, while Water, Wind, and Concentration become a pressurized mist jet; signs already consumed by that result are not drawn again as separate effects.

Signs are modifiers. Their names choose operations, while size, position, balance, direction, and tilt affect pressure, reach, and rotation.

Support determines where the result acts: paper alone by default, or a small paper fixed under the available shoe. Diameter and support limits can prevent activation.

Accuracy is the recognized sigil match. Duration comes from the material and stabilizing modifiers; force combines the force setting, symbol charge and quality, direction, and force modifiers. Details also reports stability, diameter, applied rules, and warnings.

Importing a photo

Photo recognition stays in your browser. The simulator compares local geometry and symbol templates deterministically; it does not send the image to a remote model or guess from an online catalogue.

Editable recreation

Recreate in the simulator turns an accepted outer ring into an editable drawing boundary.

Accepted sigils and signs become editable marks that you can move, resize, replace, or remove before reading.

Image as guide

Use as a guide keeps the complete cropped image below the drawing for tracing without converting it into marks.

Ambiguous regions offer candidate choices and require your decision. Unreadable regions are reported and excluded; the simulator never invents a match.

Practice is a separate exercise

Practice compares your stroke with one known target symbol selected by the exercise.

It does not require a closed ring, because it scores a trace rather than trying to activate or interpret a spell.

Score my stroke reports a bounded score, coverage, proportions, orientation, missing strokes, extra strokes, and their penalty so you know what to redraw.

Keep useful references close

Saved examples and imported photos can become personal tracing guides. They stay available in this browser so you can compare a new drawing with your own reference.

Choose a personal guide, then change its visibility and opacity. Select the guide on the parchment and drag a corner handle to resize it proportionally; Remove guide leaves the drawing untouched.

Activate a valid circle

Activation needs at least one shape, a usable closed boundary, and a diameter allowed by the selected support. Read first to correct ignored marks, warnings, or size errors.

After the ink animation, activation opens a nonblank 3D view built from an immutable snapshot of the drawing, recipe, geometry, dimensions, and support. The manifestation remains animated until its computed duration ends.

Growth, emission, and movement stop when the spell expires or the view closes. The scene then disposes the manifestation before another recipe can replace it.

Know which rules are evidence-backed

Documented means a rule is directly supported by the research set; inferred means documented rules are composed into a combination not directly shown. Experimental labels identify simulator-coherent behavior where the research does not define a result.

What this does not claim

The simulator is a local deterministic geometry and template comparison tool, not a general image-recognition service or an authoritative reading of every hand-drawn mark.

Lighting, blur, perspective, incomplete strokes, and symbols outside the supported catalogue can reduce recognition quality. Check the preview and make corrections before relying on a result.
